PostSubject: BELLE'S APRICOT CHICKEN    Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:24 pm

Now Just remember Belle is not the greatest cook , but this is tasty ,simple and can be cheap, depending on what cut of chicken you use'
1 400 ml can of apricot nectar
1 Kilo of chicken breasts or for cheaper variaton , 1 Kilo of Drumsticks or wings
1 sachet of French Onion Soup Mix [ hint ,use the cheap variety]
That is basically it , unless you want to add your own herbs and spice , salt and pepper can always be added later , at your own your taste.
Heat the Apricot Nectar and French Onion Soup Mix [either in microwave or saucepan , to thicken the sauce]
Put the chicken of your choice , in a baking dish
Pour over the French onion soup and Apricot Nectar sauce on to the chicken.
Then Bake at 180 degree's celsius
For about 90 minutes
Or for an alternative , you can zap it for 20 -30 minutes
Serve with Rice Or Pasta , and a green salad ,
Make sure you have lots of crusty bread to mop the apricot sauce up with
